Why does the earth leakage switch trip?
Een aardlekschakelaar zet de stroom uit zodra er stroom naar de aarde weglekt, bijvoorbeeld via een defect apparaat. Dat beschermt u tegen een elektrische schok. Valt hij steeds uit, dan lekt er ergens stroom weg.
An earth leakage switch cuts the power as soon as current leaks to earth, for example through a defective appliance. That protects you from an electric shock. If it keeps tripping, current is leaking somewhere.

- Een defect apparaat, zoals een wasmachine, droger, boiler of waterkoker
- Vocht in een stopcontact, buitenverlichting of apparaat
- Een beschadigde kabel of snoer
- Veel apparaten tegelijk, waarbij kleine lekstromen bij elkaar worden opgeteld
- Een verouderde of versleten aardlekschakelaar
- A defective appliance, such as a washing machine, dryer, boiler or kettle
- Moisture in a socket, outdoor lighting or appliance
- A damaged cable or cord
- Many appliances at once, where small leakage currents add up
- An outdated or worn earth leakage switch

How to find the defective appliance
- Haal de stekkers uit de stopcontacten of schakel de groepen uit.
- Zet de aardlekschakelaar omhoog.
- Zet de groepen één voor één weer aan.
- Sluit apparaten één voor één aan. Valt hij bij een bepaald apparaat uit, dan is dat apparaat de oorzaak. Gebruik het niet meer.
- Valt hij ook uit zonder apparaten, of lukt het zoeken niet? Bel ons.
- Unplug everything or switch off the circuits.
- Switch the earth leakage switch up.
- Switch the circuits back on one by one.
- Connect appliances one by one. If it trips with a certain appliance, that appliance is the cause. Stop using it.
- Does it also trip without appliances, or can you not find it? Call us.
Test uw aardlekschakelaar regelmatig met de testknop (T). Hij hoort dan uit te vallen.
Test your earth leakage switch regularly with the test button (T). It should then trip.

Bij een storing rekenen wij een uurtarief, inclusief btw en voorrijkosten: overdag (tot 18:00) € 120 voor het eerste uur, in de avond (18:00 tot 00:00) € 135 en 's nachts en in het weekend € 145. Het eerste uur wordt altijd volledig berekend. Daarna rekenen wij per kwartier: € 25,00 overdag, € 27,50 in de avond en € 30,00 's nachts en in het weekend. For a fault we charge an hourly rate, including VAT and call-out costs: during the day (until 18:00) € 120 for the first hour, in the evening (18:00 to 00:00) € 135 and at night and on weekends € 145. The first hour is always charged in full. After that we charge per quarter hour: € 25,00 by day, € 27,50 in the evening and € 30,00 at night and on weekends.
