Electrics in Amsterdam homes
Many Amsterdam homes are old. Wiring and fuse boxes from decades ago were designed for far fewer appliances than we use today. Typical signs that something needs attention are breakers that trip regularly, too few sockets, a fuse box without earth leakage protection, and a box that is full. Send us a photo of your fuse box and we can usually tell you what is needed.
Apartments and rented homes
Work inside your own apartment is straightforward. Changes to the main connection or to shared parts of the building usually involve the owners' association or the landlord and sometimes the grid operator. If you rent, ask your landlord before we change anything permanent. We are happy to explain what is possible in your situation.

What does it cost?
For repairs and faults we charge an hourly rate including VAT and call-out costs: during the day (until 18:00) € 120 for the first hour, in the evening (18:00 to 00:00) € 135, and at night and on weekends € 145. The first hour is always charged in full. After that we charge per quarter hour: € 25.00 by day, € 27.50 in the evening and € 30.00 at night and on weekends. See the pricing page for all rates.
